If he'll call (or checkraise) continuation bets with high cards or a mid pair, this line is fine. However, your bet is fairly large for a continuation bet.

If you're gonna bet this flop, I'd probably lead for exactly half the pot (hopefully, he'll think i've just read HOH and get feisty)

Of course, I don't think I have the balls to bet this flop, unless i've bet every flop in the past hour...

being in position and checking behind on the turn will make it look like:
1) I'm "real tricky" and I tried to appear like I had trip 5's and I'm giving up now that I got caught.
2) I'm making a continuation bet and I'm giving up now.

I really like checking behind on the turn with a monster if I've acted strong on the flop. I've used this line a lot and it seems to work fairly well.

The reason for the big bet on the flop is because I wanted to seem weak against a moderately observant opponent. Checking the flop doesn't leave you with too many creative options. If he folds to this bet then fine...but if he tries to be the hero I win a lot...probably his stack.
