[ QUOTE ]
Do you really think AK CC preflop from a button raise?

[/ QUOTE ]
I think it depends. Somewhat on how often I think the BB will raise or will just call and come along. But, if I know that the button is raising a lot of hands here I might just call, really on more of a SNG than anything else.

If I'm going to be leading out then I can put the pressure on the button. I will admit though that a majority of players will be re-poping with AK.

$1 sidebet on mike being the sb here.

edit- I'd like to hear how the button is percieved, as you might guess by my statement. I think player reads are huge here, most guys are going to call mike with a6 here if he's the sb simply because he comes across as an aggro superdonk sometimes.

Holdem,
the way i see it the sb is playing his role as an aggresor by comming over the top of you. He probably assumes your raise is a steal because his table image is aggresive and with that flop he assumes you didnt hit anything.

I call because I think there's a good enough chance that BB's just weirded out by the miniraises and I'm getting good odds.

I was actually the SB. I had been playing fairly aggresively against this particular opponent. Twice he had open raised from the CO and I had reraise pushed (once with A8s and once with KQo). I took the minraise onthe flop to mean overs that didn't believe my bet, so I pushed. He had a better hand than I expected, but still had a difficult call to make, which he did. I was lucky enough to double up with Ks about 5-10 hands later, and the two of us went on to chop 1st and 2nd.

what? its not believable I'd minraise twice in 1 hand? I probably minraise about once a month.
