Why do people INSIST on getting too many different denominations?!?! I just don't get it... If you have to color up more than once in a tournament you're doing a terrible job of organizing it.
IF I were designing a set of 700 chips for two purposes (cash game and tourney) I'd set it up like this: • Green $25/25c (325) • Black $100/$1 (325) • Yellow/Gold ($1000/$10) (50) --------------------------------------- 3-TABLE NL TOURNEY SETUP --------------------------------------- 30 people each get: 8 Green ($25) 8 Black ($100) 1 Gold/Yellow ($1000) That's $2000 in chips.. blinds start at 25/50 and double every 20-30 mins. ----------------------------- CASH GAME SETUP ----------------------------- We play .25/.50 blinds in a $20 MAX NL RING GAME One Table... Buy in for 20 and get: 8 Green ($2) 8 Black ($8) 1 Gold ($10) You can drop the Golds to $5 in this case if you prefer... Overall this gives you enough chips for about 40 buyins of either tournament or cash game play..... Even if you get stickers with values ($25/$100/$1000) on them, people will be smart enough to move the decimal 2 places to the left in their heads.... $25 = .25.... $100 = $1...etc |
