Like DN said in his blog, if they would have announced a month or two ago that these players will also be in beacause they have 9+ bracelets, fine.

But, to just say at the last second: O yeah, these guys are in also because they will draw a crowd, is BS.

Bad business...

Edited to say:

1-Barron is more eloquent.
2-I type slow.

Let me restate what David just said. That it's OK to make fun of these players because they're playing with their own money and none of them are professional poker players.

Just curious how do you know that they're playing with their own money? Oh and how do you know none of these men play poker professionally?

That is amazing David! Can you give me the pick 6 numbers for Wednesday please?

By the way, "ironic" is them having a limit night which I've been harping about with others on a night I don't get here 'til 11:30pm with a half hour left.

"Sporting" Event rules stretched to get more viewers. It happens to every sporting event since the sponsorships began. Danny will have to learn to live with it.

Flop: 4 way cap

Turn: 4way cap

Is this like that episode of Sports Night where Dan wanted to go the whole day without hearing about the game so he could watch it with his girlfriend that night...?

Guys,
On the topic of never watching any more poker on television.

I don't know if you guys know what really sets this apart, but it's the commentary on every single play of every single hand. It's sort of like, how does one "practice poker" without playing. Well, this is how.

The commentary, by you guys and the others you have on other nights, sort of teaches us how to think about the game, play by play by play. There are several, "Oh, yeah, I get it" moments.

Thanks and keep it up.
Clay,
Norman, OK

I'd love to see the total hours you have put in the game to get that number.

With the drop, it is absolutely impossible to sustain 4-6 bb an hour in the long run.

1.5-2 bb an hour is possible, although there is tremendous variance. That may even be difficult because the Bike game tightens up a lot.

Reminds me of a local boob of a tournament player who when asked how much he makes at $6-12 said " oh, 2 or 3 hundred a day". I spit up all over myself lmfao.

I play the 8/16 game from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM 3-4 days a week. Making 4-6 BB per hour is pretty typical in this game.

It is so profitable I just can not see why going to play the 20/40 game.
