Also I think Tiffany plays like Gus Hansen only without the hyper-aggression that makes Gus' style work.

That, and the stellar reads. And the good calculations of the best course of action based on the opponent's likely range of starting hands. And the funny comments Gus always has.

Let me see. Oh yeah, she's nothing like Gus Hansen.

[/ QUOTE ]

Plays the same hands (read: loose) but plays tham crap. I think there's a slight similarity. Obviously it was meant mainly as a joke. Don't see how you though I meant that Tiffany makes amazing reads and knows about odds adn equity.

Read what I said again. I didn't think you meant what you write that you thought I meant.

Gus plays loose hands for cheap and/or shorthanded. He wouldn't have hesitated with the KJs hand (quick fold), nor would he have called with the AJo hand.

If you watch the season 2 Bay 101 Shooting Stars tournament, he plays very tight aggressive, except facing bets from Danny Nguyen.

I fail to see the similarities. In fact, the main similarity that I see is that she plays very aggressively at times, the one way you say she differs from Gus.

Pokerwire, Pokerpages and Cardplayer should have updates throughout the day. They decided this year to have it out in the open, since their attempt to keep it secret didn't last very long.

[/ QUOTE ]

Have you any source for this? Or is this just speculation?? My guess is that it will be open to the media until the final 9, then the final table results will be kept private until the airing.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm assuming based on the quote from this article:

[ QUOTE ]
CHANGES: The Tournament of Champions of the World Series of Poker starts next week at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in a different format. Last year's was an invitational with 10 of the biggest names in poker, ranging from main event champion Greg Raymer to WSOP Player of the Year Daniel Negreanu to Howard Lederer, Hellmuth and Annie Duke. This year's event features top finishers from the WSOP circuit events and will include more than 100 players.

Another difference is that last year, every player was sworn to secrecy to the point that the winner could lose the prize money if he or she blurted out the result before it aired on ESPN. So Duke had to make sure her kids didn't go to school and talk about mom winning $2 million. But now, with every result so public immediately, Harrah's eliminated the secrecy clause.

You win, i revoke my statment on the basis that I havn't actually seen her play, only read about it on the forums. You know more about both of them and you are correct here. However, my little joke feels sad that it got crushed and it's little shor at humour was lost.

Also, instead of Hold'em it should be mixed games, HORKE (Stud replaced by Kansas.C Lowball)

[/ QUOTE ]

Why get rid of stud? It is more popular than stud-8 or razz.

off topic and i dont think deserves a new thread but tony g is going to play in WPT bad boys II, i dont know who the other 5 players are gonna be though.

o and go ivey in the ToC

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably the usual, Hellmuth, Unabomber, maybe Gus Hansen. I think Tiffany Williamson would make a great addition to the Bad Boys show, just to get the others on super-duper-alpha-omega tilt.

Also I think Tiffany plays like Gus Hansen only without the hyper-aggression that makes Gus' style work.

That will not happen. Having Tony G and Phil Hellmuth on the same table could result in a fistfight. Can you imagine Tony G saying to Phil "im gonna rip you apart so hard"
