10% shuffle???
Is this standard for BJ casinos to shuffle after 10% of the deck is dealt?
JAque ************** Rules from Party BJ The game is available only in 'Real Money' mode. The minimum bet in the game is $1.00 and the maximum bet is $200.00. Maximum bet applies for the initial bet of the game. Eight decks are used and each deck has 52 cards. The deck is shuffled after 10% of the cards in the decks are used. The dealer draws a card on soft 17. Maximum splits allowed = 3. There is no limit on the number of cards that can be dealt to the dealer or a player. It is limited only by choice (by clicking on 'Stand') or the hand total being greater than or equal to 21. If the dealer has a 10, Jack, Queen or King as the up card, it is possible he has a Blackjack. In this instance, the player's hand will lose except with another Blackjack. The dealer will check whether a Blackjack is possible and will collect the losing bet immediately if he does have a Blackjack. |

Re: 10% shuffle???
It's not typical for live casinos (although the Continuous Shuffle Machines pretty much do this) but it is par for the course for online-blackjack.
Some places shuffle after every hand. Just makes it virtually impossible to count-cards and turn it into a +EV game (especially if you never know when they actually shuffle and start anew...I have never played party blackjack, so I don't really know). Side-note: Friend of mine who occasionally plays 1/2 on Party (and whom I implore to try to bring his see-flop % to below 50) got one of those 'comeback' bonuses for $20 or something since he hadn't played there in awhile. He discovered the new Party BJ thing...did some progressive betting thing where he ramps-up his bets when he's winning...and turned his $20 into $1800. Not bad. |
