Bunch of Stars players all with same picture
Anybody know anything about a whole bunch of players on Poker Stars who all use the same picture? It's been a very washed out red pic of a sunset until the last couple days & is now a washed out blue pic of trees.
I've tried asking a few of them, but they're either evasive or totally unresponsive. |

It is Stars collusion detection software at work. They will not bar the players but will let you know which teams to avoid.

Re: Bunch of Stars players all with same picture
I know alot of dealers from casino poker rooms play team tourny at stars. I was talking to a dealer other day and he said they got a team of 10 who play in the bigger tournys at stars, but not like team but where they share the prize money between them all if one or more makes the money.

Re: Bunch of Stars players all with same picture
Hmmm... Default picture is no picture; solid gold colored circle... you have to upload your own picture. Not likely it’s team/collusion play. Tonight was the first I’ve seen two on the same table and it was in a tournament. There were two on my first table, table broke and there was another one on the table I went to. I haven’t seen anything that would indicate any sort of collusion... their play seems to vary quite a bit, anywhere from very poor to, say, medium.
I noticed tonight, after the aforementioned table broke, that the player had a name in the format PlayerNameXXXXX wherein the Xs were numbers. I looked up the numbers as a Zip Code and it was a small town in Georgia that matched his listed town. Don’t know if that means anything, but it wouldn’t be a dealer... I’ll have to pay more attention to this and check out where they’re from and whether their names all include numbers... there are really quite a few of these guys, and I’ve been running into them for a few weeks. Doesn’t someone who has something to say about just about everything have anything to say about this? |

Re: Bunch of Stars players all with same picture
Those pics are just popular "Magic the Gathering" cards. There's also a couple of guys whit black card whit a skull and others whit a "black Lotus" or "inferno" card.
Nothing to worry about. -Happy |

Re: Bunch of Stars players all with same picture
There are several pictures that I am told come with software on some packages.
The athelete at the start line is one, the blue forest type picture is another. That weird black background with grey/brown strands is another. Happy is correct about the MTG cards, I think the red one is inferno. Lori |
