PT attemted to steal blinds %
After about 15,000 hands i have a attemted to steal blinds % of ~ 11. I generally play a TAG game. This % seems like it would have to be low, but i am worried that an increase in attempting to steal the blinds might have a butterfly effect on my entire game. Should i be stealing more, and what kind changes do i also need to make to my game, if i start trying to steal the blinds more often? Obviously the nature of the opponents in the blinds would dictate how aggressivly i need to attack the blinds, so maybe someone could give me advice for playing against different types of players

Steal from rocks and TAGs who don't defend enough.

Re: PT attemted to steal blinds %
I don't think I ever steal yet my number is 19.5%. I'm just value betting I think. I'm not really sure what the stat means except bluffing pre first in, late w the intent to win the blinds preflop.

Re: PT attemted to steal blinds %
I see it this way. If the action comes to me and I'm button or cutoff and everyone's folded, my hand only has to be better than 2 or 3 others. Players are going to be playing their sb and bb hands as if they are competing with 6 or 9 hands. Furthermore, if you get called, you have position on the flop. So I think steals are good.
Now, if the villain in sb or bb defends, things get trickier. On a side note, I find stealing works way, way better if you don't hesitate. |
