c/c the turn sucks. [/ QUOTE ] Upon reflection, betting seems like a good idea as you might have fold equity and there is a chance jason has the best hand - CO only called the flop bet. When CO raises the turn bet though, fold equity goes to almost zero, and I have to think the CO might have a made pair if not trips. If he has an eight or ten, hero has 18 outs and is a 26:18 or 3:2 dog. If he has a Queen, hero has 12 outs and is a 32:12 or 5:2 dog. I don't think a turn three bet has enough potential value. |

Re: 15/30 AKs
Unless you all of a sudden realize that villain is actually a somewhat competent player and might raise-fold a hand like JJ here, I can't see why you'd want to raise.
When you three-bet here against this type of player and villain folds, he's usually folding an inferior hand, and usually one that has next to no outs against you anyway. All the hands that villain might fold anyway are hands you probably have 18 outs or so against anyway, so the size of the "coup" for folding out that kind of hand is not that big anyway. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The Daver will sometimes spray in this spot but probably not here since only very specific players will raise with a worse hand intending to fold to a 3-bet. Thus, The Daver calls. [/ QUOTE ] I will PAY you to stop speaking in the 3rd person. [/ QUOTE ] The Daver doesn't need your money. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's hilarious actually. Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode with "Jimmy". |

Re: 15/30 AKs
Did you give any consideration to screw-playing this turn? He'd have to have a lot of hand to call your c/r, and you have a lot of outs even against a lot of hand.
My reasoning is that you might as well maximize fold equity here, and on this sort of board, your 3-betting range seems like it might fit in really weirdly with it, so he might test you with a hand like KT or AT but get to showdown even when 3-bet. If you c/r him, he might be better able to give you the benefit of the doubt and fold KT/AT. |
