A Typical Situation TPTK turn = 3 card flush
full ring.
this is a theoretical situation, in which you have AK [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]s (diamonds) in the bb, where 2 limpers + SB completes. you raise all call, preflop. flop, K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] you lead, two callers. turn [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] you lead, and are raised. is this a call down situation or muck to the turn raise? is c/c a better line? |

Re: A Typical Situation TPTK turn = 3 card flush
Depends on reads, more often a calldown, less often a fold, sometimes a 3-bet.

I feel that it depends strongly on what player you are up against. No read - I would call down.

Re: A Typical Situation TPTK turn = 3 card flush
Earlier today I bet the flop with a 7 high flush draw and got one caller. The turn brought my flush, I bet again and was raised. I called down thinking I was beat by a higher flush. Guy ended up having Ace high, for no pair no draw on the turn. This is a very read dependant situation. Against some its an easy fold. Against others I would just call down.

Re: A Typical Situation TPTK turn = 3 card flush
I'm guessing this is another one of those "it depends" questions, right? The more passive the player is postflop the more you would want to lay it down. Against an agressive player you would have had more of a chance for him to raise the flop with a club draw to get a free card also. So if an aggressive player raises he probably has a good chance of not having a flush. Also, I think the flush card has to be of some importance. A T,J, or Q of [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]s would be worse not only because of the straight possibilities but also more likely to have made 2 pair.
