whats my plan now for the rest of the hand? Do you think he has a lower overpair? How should i play this? SHould i be afraid of the ace? Note: no real reads, villian has done nothing out of line.

Ok, here're some answers

* I would bet again, somewhere around $170 and see what he does.

[ QUOTE ]
Do you think he has a lower overpair?

[/ QUOTE ]
* It's hard to answer this without any reads - depending on who the player is, how he sees you, how he/you have been playing, etc. there can be different answers to that. He could have anything from a pocket pair (22-TT) or a hand with an 8 (e.g. A-8) or nothing at all and hoping to take it away from you on the turn.

How should i play this?

[/ QUOTE ]
* It depends, but your line on the flop looks ok - I sometimes (about 10-20% of the time) actually check or CR this flop, just to keep things balanced. I would almost always bet again on this turn, though.

[ QUOTE ]
SHould i be afraid of the ace?

[/ QUOTE ]
* No - as the ace could've easily helped you.

There you go - some quick thoughts for you to ponder.

yea i've thought this through and actually bet 175 on turn and he called. I figured that the ace would only help my hand and scare him (i could be c-betting an a-x and hit my ace.) This is my second orbit, and i believe my 2nd raise. I raised KQs 40 from MP and he re-raised me to 120, i folded.\

as it is, i think he's got an PP or a hand like 7-8/8-9 that got lucky.

My standard here is to check and call. I don't think he's calling a second barrel with a mid PP, so if he does call/raise on the turn you're left basically on the ass end of things.
