I hate hearing people say this [/ QUOTE ] It's great, it means they lose to my superior hand. |

Re: \"I\'m gonna gamble, I call\"
They're just trying to let the camera know that they know they're behind. No big deal.
Negreanu does this. Ivey does this. Brunson does this. It's all about maintaining the street cred. |

Re: \"I\'m gonna gamble, I call\"
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I hate hearing people say this [/ QUOTE ] It's great, it means they lose to my superior hand. [/ QUOTE ] It's good but not great, because it usually means I have a better made hand, but they're drawing to 8-9 outs instead of the 2-3 they would have if they actually thought they had a better made hand. |

Re: \"I\'m gonna gamble, I call\"
Me too, but usually it's because they are a coinflip to much of the range they put you on. If they are right, I'd rather they fold. It's not the phrase I hate, it's because it often preceeds a call that I don't really want.

Re: \"I\'m gonna gamble, I call\"
"Alright, I'll gamble, I call, otherwise I wouldn't respect myself in the morning." ~ something like that anyway, Mike from Rounders, holding the nut straight.
So he woulda busted you all too! |
