Re: Aces and queens against an allin, what would you do?
I don't know for sure, but let's see what is his range? I don't see him having AK, the reason is I know how he plays, he would not limp in with that, he could have 88, 33 or j10. I don't see him going all in with any other cards.

[ QUOTE ] And have him lay it down? if you knew he was on a gut shot, wouldn't you want him to call here? [/ QUOTE ] Do you know he's on a gutshot? [/ QUOTE ] Exactly. What if he is on AK? Then you lost the pot on the river, yes. But think how many other cards could come that he still trails you but may be reluctant to call a big bet from you (Q, club, maybe J or T). Then you lost the chance to bust him. I am folding the river because there is nothing a tight player limps UTG and pushes this river that you beat. Nada. |

Ok, I may have mis said that, he has a wider starting hand range than a tight player but he would not risk his chips unless he has a hand.

Re: Aces and queens against an allin, what would you do?
Well, I thought about it for about two minutes then I told him that I know he has the j10 and I showed him my hand and folded and he was kind enough to show his straight. Not betting the flop made me lose that hand, good lesson I guess. There can be a fine line between slowplaying and butchering a hand I guess.
