I've been playing online for about 15 months now and started as a $6 SNG player, did the grind and have steadily advanced myself to playing $55 and $105 SNGS. Sometimes I'll go and play a $15 SNG, but I lose interest and to be honest I'll make careless plays because I almost don't care about the money (oh its only $67 if i win when I'm used to $248 or $472) because its smaller than my usual buyins. How can I stay focused and be excited about winning any SNG no matter the amount.

Sometimes I feel like going down to lower limits and play but I don't play as hard which I think is ridiculous. Sometimes I'll go on a downswing and not cash for 5 or 6 games and I'll go back down to $15 or $27 but once im in there I lose interest because I'm used to higher payoffs.. |

IMO, when you feel like that, you should either:
1. Not play at all. 2. Try a new game at a lower limit. |

Don't look at the game in terms of the money. Look at it as you improving and working on your game.

in all seriousness you need to stop playing immediately when you feel like this. just go watch a movie or something and play when you feel like it.

in all seriousness you need to stop playing immediately when you feel like this. just go watch a movie or something and play when you feel like it. [/ QUOTE ] This extends to any reason you're feeling out of it, even at the $55s and the $109s. No sense in playing suboptimal poker at any level unless there's some other compelling reason to do so. -SonnyJay |
