I know everyone thinks the scenes with the children are great but I thought they were overwrought and too sentimental. Still a great book but my favorite of his is The Posessed (The Demons).

[/ QUOTE ] This is in the foreword to Brothers. I believe it was the Gambler that he wrote in three weeks. |

One of those on my list that I never seem to get any closer to.
I've read Notes from Underground, The Gambler, and Crime and Punishment. Liked them all, a lot, too. Just haven't gotten around to any more. |
