To RB or not to RB
I'm trying to determine if I am better off playing on the X-Party skins with RB or sucking it up and playing at Party without RB. Just did a little math and I'm curious to see if you folks agree with it.
-1/2 6 Max Game -Assume an average rake of $0.50/hand -Over 100 hands the table would generate $50 in rake and each player would be attributed $8.33 in rake -With a 25% percent rakeback deal each player would get back $2.08 per 100 hands, essentially 1BB/100 So the real question is are the Party games that much softer then the X-skins to make up 1BB/100 hands? |

Re: To RB or not to RB
For 1/2 you should be able to find ample game selection at a number of sites with much better rakeback than 25% (e.g. Prima, UB, Absolute)

Re: To RB or not to RB
At what 6max level do we think it is better to play party with 0 RB than the ex-skins with 25 or 30% rb?

[/ QUOTE ] Hi Johnny, I haven't played on party or the skins since the split, so I couldn't say. I do think most poker players underestimate the importance of rake, and would do well to shop around for the best deals. |

Over 100 hands the table would generate $50 in rake and each player would be attributed $8.33 in rake [/ QUOTE ] Not exactly true. Depending on how tight/loose you are this number will vary. I would venture to say that a normal 2+2er would have less rake, as they see less hands. |

Re: To RB or not to RB
If anyone can post some average rake numbers for the different 6 max limits and sites I'll put together a nice little matrix comparing sites/limits/RB percentage for further discussion.

Re: To RB or not to RB
I usually play 5/10. I had my deposit bous on Empire to work off. There was not a table where the ave pot was bigger then 5BB. So I played 3/6. Only 1-2 tables with 5BB ave pots. So just get rid of this friggin bonus I opened up some 1/2 tables. This was the tightest limit yet. Now having said they were relatively exploitable. It seemed like 2 groups of players 15/5/1 or 20/20/4. I only played 300 hands over 3 different nights. So the sample is small.
If I had to play those kind of tables for 1/2 I would look elsewhere |

Re: To RB or not to RB
Honestly I'd go give Absolute a try. The games are very soft at 1/2 and you can get some pretty good RB deals there.
