ATo is making me sick.
Hello. I've been reading the forums for about a month now. I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on why A10o is consistantly at the bottom of my poker tracker list when it comes to the Net loss I have on the hand. I keep a different database for the 6 sites I play on. About 30k hands total and A10o is always near the bottom!
The hand treats me so bad that I've made it habbit to only limp in in late postion with it. Is this making things worse? |

Re: ATo is making me sick.
Chances are you play this hand too often.

Re: ATo is making me sick.
Open in any position.
Fold if it's raised before you. Reraise in blind stealing situations. Raise/limp/fold if limped before you, very situational. |

Re: ATo is making me sick.
ATo Shows a substantial profit for me even when you dont account for blinds. I also suggest folding it alot more than the last poster.

Re: ATo is making me sick.
Fold early and mid position, raise late position.
That's how I play it. Probably not optimal though. |

Re: ATo is making me sick.
I'm gonna assume you're talking about NL cuz that's all i play.
FOLD FOLD FOLD I've always hated this hand, and when i try to get tricky and play it i always lose big pots. it's Ok to raise sometimes for a steal attempt, but if you're ever called then you're probably beat. Never limp. The only flops i'm ever happy with are two pair, trips, or a nut flush draw. so, to answer your question, i do not believe it is playabe. |

Re: ATo is making me sick.
In limit holdem, the earlier advice has merit. In NL, this is a definate trouble hand. I would only play it in a steal attempt. Otherwise it's an easy fold.

Open in any position. [/ QUOTE ] ATo is a fold in the first few positions in all but the weakest of games. Limit or no-limit. EDIT: Fullring anyway, this is probably valid advice for 6-max. |

Re: ATo is making me sick.
Echoing everyone else, you're probably not folding enough with it.
Preflop, I'd call with this hand or maybe raise to steal if I was late. But if anyone's representing a decent hand, you have to be willing to fold it after the flop. |
