Default Is this a good line for tptk?

Still trying to learn how to keep the pot down so i dont put my stack behind tp. Ive heard that was the number 1 mistake novices like me make.

Button ($12.55)
SB ($24.25)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, 7 folds, UTG calls $0.75.

Flop: ($2.35) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $1.5, UTG calls $1.50.

Turn: ($5.35) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

River: ($5.35) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets $2, Hero calls $2.

I bet the turn because there are two hearts and two spades on the board. Maybe 75% of pot. Dump to a raise.

if the board is rainbow I play it like you did, perhaps raise the river some % of the time.

This is my standard play, except that I bet close to the pot on the flop. But that isn't that significant.

What about if he bets more on the river. Say pot size or even larger. Thats a clear fold right?

With no reason to believe that I'm beat, I instacall up to a PSB. You induced a possible bluff. Thus, you have to call up to a PSB IMO. If a draw seems to hit, then you have to use some judgement.

Given the board, this seems like a good line to take. Do you value bet if the river is a brick?

What hand will call the raise that doesn't have you beat?
