I need some quick advice....
I went running last night in the rain, and my running shoes are still wet. I need them for racquetball in like 90 mins.
Is it safe to put them in a dryer? |

Yes, if you can stand the noise.

Throw a towel in with them to keep them from beationg up the dryer too much. And don't just leave them there or you may come back and find one has knocked the dryer door open and they've just been sitting in there.

Re: I need some quick advice....
yea dryer is fine. microwave idea is also probably good, but i'd feel nervous having them in there for some reason. Dryer dont even have to think about.

Re: I need some quick advice....
Probably wise. I've known guys that claim microwave (and even some an electric oven - which seems really stupid given the plastic bits in sports footwear), but not done it myself.

Re: I need some quick advice....
Not if you want to keep running in them on a regular basis and not hurt yourself--putting in them in the dryer is really bad for the foam.
If you don't run a lot of miles, it probably won't make a difference. If you do, you should just deal with wet shoes. They dry out a lot quicker if you stuff them with newspaper or something right after you go running in the rain. scrub |
