Micro 6 Max: AKo
Villain in this hand is short stacked. After the flop action, I put him on 2 pair or a set. The check behind on the turn means either...
- He capped the flop w/67 ? - He has 2 pair or a set and wants me to bet the river My main question here is what I should do on the river, but comments on all streets are appreciated. Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
I can't bet this because I can't call the raise and if he is short stacked people like to try to scare you out of pots by raising. c/c I can't fold to someone who is ss in this positoin they are bluffing too much
edit - raising not betting |

Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
The play is extremely weired since there arent any draws out there. Villain should know that you hold either KQ,KK,AK or AA considering you raised pfr and 3bets the flop. So if he has a hand that beats that he should bet cause he knows you will call. When he doesnt bet turn he shows weakness and a river bet is in order. Hopefully he will call and show you something wierd as QQ. If he raises I think you can very safely throw your hand away.
Ps. This is if he isnt a total maniac. Then you should bet call. |

Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
What's your read on Villain? What sort of range is he on when he limps into this pot? How aggressive is he? I'd usually bet/call the turn planning to show down vs a shortstack. You could bet/3-bet vs a LAG.
Villain's line is strange. I'd expect him to bet the turn if he's aggressive enough to cap the flop with 67. It could be he made his hand and decided to get cute (or flopped very big), but you're unlikely to be going anywhere after 3-betting the flop, so I want to know he's tricky before worrying too much about it. I'm betting the river. The only question is whether to call a raise. Given the short stack, strange line, and non-obvious draw I could see showing down unless Villain is passive/predictable. In normal game conditions I'd bet/fold vs most players. |

Why check the turn? [/ QUOTE ] because hero was capped on a K54 rainbow flop? |

Why check the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Because a cap on a ragged flop like this usually beats TPTK. |

Actually I changed my mind...bet/folding is awful.

Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
what a strange check by villian...I'd check-call. You don't seem to gain much by betting.
