Cool things to do in Cleveland?
We (12 guys) are taking a road trip down to Cleveland this weekend to go see the Lions play the browns. We will be in town Friday night thru Sunday night. We are staying a few blocks away from the stadium. Any good strip clubs, restaurants, bars? How the rock n roll HOF?

Re: Cool things to do in Cleveland?
I lived in Cleveland for 5.5 years going to school. Here are three or four things (besides the flats).
#1. Coventry on the east side. Good place to go shopping and or bar hopping, especially on thursday. #2 Dickey lanes on West 25th. It has 8 lanes, hand scoring and a small bar. The owner, Greg Dickey is very friendly. This place is as authentic as the midwest gets. Check out the peek-a-boo down the street. Its a disturbingly rundown strip joint. Well, thats it, I'm all out of ideas. |

Re: Cool things to do in Cleveland?
Skip the R+R HOF.
Coventry is good but you'll probably want to stay close to where you are staying/ the game. Head to the flats for strip clubs (Circus on the East Bank, used to be Tiffany's on the West Bank but I don't know what it is called now - anyway it's the big ass building right behind Shooter's). For regular clubs go to the warehouse district. Both the flats and the Warehouse district are very close to the stadium and they border each other so you can get to all of these walking around. I like Mallorca in the Warehouse district as a decent steakhouse. Beyond that, those restaurants change so much I couldn't tell you more. |

Re: Cool things to do in Cleveland?
Oh yeah, there is another bowling alley around East 20th on Euclid. Its on the second floor of an old industrial building. More modern and it has radar guns on the lanes.
Also, check out the drive from downtown to the east side on St. Clair. Famous bone thugz n harmony hangouts along the way. And the worlds largest bowling alley is somewhere on the far east side like east 256 or so. |
