Because he deliberated before calling the turn. I take this to mean he isn't thrilled with his hand. [/ QUOTE ] yeah, sorry. i just re-read the action. |

Re: Daily Hand Post : Yeah, it\'s been a while, shut up
I'll echo the voices of those who advocate betting the river. Random 9's make up a huge portion of BB's range, and with EMP almost certainly missing his draw forcing out the 9 would be huge.
But I'm also intrigued by the preflop raise. I'll certainly raise with high SC's in this spot on occasion...but I generally limp here. Is this a variation for you or is it your standard play? Will |

GoT pointed out to me that no one has said anything about the flop play. I'm not going to because he already told me his thinking on that. Anyone wanna take a stab?

Re: Daily Hand Post : Yeah, it\'s been a while, shut up
I don't like this play... I think you needed to raise that flop... when that A falls on the turn they'll probably all check to you, where you can either check (because there's a damn good chance on of them has an A that they'll never let go) or bet, depending on how they play post flop. Bet, if someone checkraises easy fold. I think I'm going to fold the turn much of the time, and i'm definitley not raising there (but I can't really say what i'd do, in your situation, because i'd never be in it - i'd have raised the flop. If someone bets on the turn before it gets to me I then know i'm [censored] and can easilly let it go...).

I would limp PF. The turn raise is just spewing. I let it go on the turn.

Re: Daily Hand Post : Yeah, it\'s been a while, shut up
Note that we could easily have the best hand on the turn. The BB could go from "I will bet my little pocket pair or goofy draw since that flop couldn't have hit him" to "Ooh an ace, he might fold a pair now". I like the flop play because you get 3 bet alot by better and worse hands and then where do you stand? I think you'll get a much more genuine reaction from BB to a turn raise plus that's how I'd play a big pair.

Your folding equity was on the turn and you shot your wad. I think betting this river is unwise.
