Agreed. What do you expect to accomplish with a check-raise in a 4-person pot? You probably won't get anyone to fold and almost any card that comes beats you. You're also drawing dead to any other two.

I don't like the checkraise much. It would realy suck to have the flop check through, since virtually any turn card is a scarecard. I think bet/folding is better.

As you played it, I'm definitely folding to the 3bet.
