Watch the hands. Mine shake when I get a monster.

Edit: Donkeys always draw. Check out Bill Fillmaff if youve never played in a casino before.

It was basically like the biggest sausage fest I have ever seen in my life. 1000 dudes drinking bud cans, clamoring to see 2!?! girls dancing at once. You couldnt even get close to the stages without being nuts to butt with the dude in front of you. Awful place.

That being said I still dropped WAY too much money in there. Why is it so hard not to turn into a knuckledragging retard when there are nude women around?

I do the same thing.

Any good ways to stop the shakes?

2 ways:

1) Table time. After 5 or 6 sessions the uncontrollable shaking seemed to stop on its own.

2) Hire this man to help you master your inner warrior:

Mine shake when I'm pulling in the first pot of a session (especially if it's a nice one). Luckily at that point it's a little late to help Villain's decision-making.

the usual conversion rate from computer to B&M is between 5x and 10x the equivalent stakes.

[/ QUOTE ]

I disagree... but maybe I'm in the minority. At least for limit hold'em, the conversion is more like 3x to 5x (e.g. 2/4 full online playing like 6/12 to 10/20). The 1/2 NL games at Borgata are harder than .10/.25NL on Party. Yes, they're hugely profitable, and yes, you get some real clowns, but the number of intelligent bets you see is higher than on Party's NL$25. I'd say they play more like NL$50 or NL$100.

(3) Good cheap hotels to stay in

[/ QUOTE ]

In reference to this, I'd be looking for a place this is:
- close to the Borgata
- around 150ish or less to stay.

Obviously I can spend only about $50 at a comfort inn or similar if I have to drive in, but that's a pretty big inconvenience if you're heavily drinking and with a group of people who want to come and go at different times.

So, what hotels are closeby the borgata but cheaper?

motels: Red Carpet Inn: dont do it. Dont even think about it.

Quality Inn, pleasantville: very clean, comfortable, you feel safe inside the building.

I booked the tropicana the week between Christmas and New Years Eve (not new years eve of course) for around $55. It doesn't sound like that fits your time frame but it is pretty cheap if your dates are flexible.
