The Golden Nugget is the nicest casino downtown, hands down. However, you are quite a ways from the Mirage and Bellagio. What you gain with the free room, you make up for in cabs.

Seems like you're staying at the Nugget. In case you go back to the Luxor, the Tower rooms are much nicer than the Pyramid Rooms and the 2-4 at the Luxor on the weekends was amazing. MGM also has some cheap rooms and a great poker room.

He is there for 2 weeks on a per diem - I am only going out for a few days, so I'll just stay with him.
