Default Flopped Boat - Could Have Been Played Better?

After this hand I was frustrated not to have got opponents stack. He was very loose passive.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) converter

MP2 ($64.40)
Hero ($70.75)
CO ($49)
Button ($8.65)
SB ($9.50)
BB ($111.65)
UTG ($18.50)
UTG+1 ($56.35)
MP1 ($62.50)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.50, MP1 calls $0.50, MP2 calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, 3 folds, BB checks.

Flop: ($2.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets $0.75, BB raises to $2, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero calls $1.25.

Turn: ($6.75) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $2, Hero raises to $5.5, BB calls $3.50.

River: ($17.75) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $18, BB calls $18.

Final Pot: $53.75

Results in white below:
BB has Jh Th (three of a kind, tens).
Hero has 9s 9d (full house, nines full of tens).
Outcome: Hero wins $53.75.

I 3 bet this flop. You've got the underfull which is vulnerable. Also, if he has a ten, another club (or two) might kill your action.

He obviously likes his hand on the flop and you said he's loose passive. I might make it 7 or 8 on the flop and proceed from there.

You played the hand way to passive.

Raise preflop, but it's OK to just limp.

Bet pot (or at least 3/4 pot on the flop)
When he raises you, RERAISE.

Raise More on the turn.

You got one of the best situations that can occur in poker, you have a GREAT hand and villian has a Very good hand (and you probably knew it through tha hand as well).

i guess I just wasn't aggressive enough. I thought a reraise by me on the turn might push some players off a 10 weak kicker but with him being so loose, I should have bet more.

the idea is that you want them to think "nobody would reraise me with a made hand, they want me in"

calling will scare most people anyways.

Flop: ($2.75) T, T, 9 (5 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets $0.75, BB raises to $2, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero calls $1.25

[/ QUOTE ]

I get it all in right here if, as you say, villain is loose passive.

Everything about your line screamed that you had him beat, and he still called you all the way down (incl a pot bet on the river on a board now showing a str8 a flush and he only had a J-kicker to his T). Thus, you should have gotten more.

I bet the flop much harder than .75. If somebody has a T here then lets see em ... make it 2.50 there, and when he raises, he will go between 7 and 10. Now you have a pot worth talking about. You can 3-bet to 30 or so, and he will likely push. Wonderful.

Your flop and turn actions were too small to get his stack.

play an underfull fast. with a two-tone board, play it even faster. you won't lose a T, but any turned [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] will prolly kill your action.
if you slowplay this, you are spewing implied odds.

Generally, when i flop a boat with YY on a flop like YZZ I almost always just fire a pot bet and hope someone has Zx, especally when Z is something like a Ten that people tend to play in unraised pots.
