Playing 9max
Pls, help me with this question.
I usually play full ring (10max) limit holdem. But very often the pots of 9max tables seems to be more lucrative for me. On 9max table should I adjust my game to these tables (for example, starting hands selection) or no? If yes, what exactly should I change? |

Re: Playing 9max
If you don't want to get too complicated just imagine UTG has folded every hand.

Re: Playing 9max
So simple?
Then could anyone answer me, why these 9max where invented at all, if there is no difference between 10 and 9 max, why not 3 max? |

Re: Playing 9max
If you're used to playing 10-handed I'm sure you've already been in the situation where one seat is empty... many times. 9-handed is very similar to 10-handed, there is no big secret here.
Why they added 9-max tables? Good question. |

Re: Playing 9max
9 max = more hands/hour + still full enough for those who don't like SH play = more rake.
Savvy? |

If you playing differently when 7 players fold and you're on the button and opening in a 3 handed game from the button, you're making a mistake somewhere. Of course, that assumes that the players are playing the blinds the same in both cases, which is probably not true. However players play the same 9-max games and full games for the most part. |
