66. He tried to check-raise the field on the flop but the button failed to bet.

If he's the best player you've ever played against at the club, why not fold (or raise) your sb hands if he's on your left in the BB? I sure wouldn't want to play with him on my left and me with 4-high.
So I think I made more than one mistake on this hand. But my first mistake I think was playing 43s for half a bet. I am out of position against a tough player and someone who is constantly trying to bet me off my hand. I don't think four-high is profitable here. I threw in the chip on autopilot (I would generally play 43s for half a bet in the small blind), and as soon as I did, I realized my mistake. I play on autopilot too much in general. |

Majorkong, I play a lot of 4/8 at muckleshoot so i've probably seen you. Do you ever play 4/8 or do you stick to 10/20 and higher?
I generally play 4-8 when I am waiting for a 10-20 seat. I almost always play the 10-20 (and not the bigger games). I am 24, short, white, and nerdy. My name is Ed Miller and the brushes/floorpeople call me Ed, Millertime, and Bob, depending on who it is. I'll probably go down tomorrow (Thursday) evening, so if you are there, be sure to introduce yourself. |

A-5. Shed some tears on the river. I would have bet the flop and three-bet the turn. Makes for an easier read on the river. Then you could make the big laydown.

you want to post the results to this?? jesus christ
in either event, he either has a boat (66, or A5), or a much higher flush then you. he probably would of bet his trip 6's on the flop, however, and not raised when the flush hit on the turn. So I'd probably put him on a higher flush. What's incredible to me is that you check-raise on the turn... that's the most retarded thing I've ever heard of... your flush sucks, and the board pairs. |

errr, i mean "what's incredible to me is that you check-raised on the RIVER". seriously, please come play in my games, and check-raise on the river against GOOD players, who raise you when the flush hits on the turn. The very best you could of been hoping for at that point is that he raised you with trips, and then the board pairs on the river... seriously, were you drunk?

Since no raise preflop:
99% chance its not AA or QQ. 95% chance not AQ. 80% chance its no 66 probably raise for reason below.. 60% chance not 55 as he has to like his chances v. both of you with any pocket pair and would have raised. Since no bet on on flop: Probably not Ax as he would probably tried to find out some info on quality of his Ace. So 80% not Ax I say. Could be slow playing the 66 though. Still 80% not 66. 99% chance no 55 as he would have bet. Raise on turn: Could be 66, 65, 55, Khxh, Ahx. Raise on river: Still don't think he has AA, AQ, QQ, 66, or even 55 because of preflop action and flop action. Don't think he has Ax because of flop action. Now it probably won't be Khxh. All in all I think the list is in rank of probability: 65 66 Ahxh A5 A6 55 AA Khxh AQ My two cents |
