So what if he sucked in the NBA. He was still GT and Hawks.

He was 28. Hawks spokesman Arthur Triche said no other details immediately were available and did not say where Collier was when he died. The 7-foot, 260-pound Collier, a five-year NBA player, spent his first three seasons with Houston before joining Atlanta in 2003. He averaged 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in his career. Collier played for Georgia Tech and was drafted by Milwaukee in the first round, with the 15th pick overall, in the 2000 NBA draft. Collier was named Ohio's Mr. Basketball by The Associated Press in 1996. He averaged 25.3 points, 13.4 rebounds and 6.6 blocks per game as a senior at Springfield Catholic Central. |

Re: Jason Collier
Oh my god, I cannot believe this. That guy was so young.
He never got much playing time with the Rockets but I remember him throwing down a vicious dunk over Yao Ming during a team scrimmage I attended. This is totally shocking. Rest in peace. |
