Default 25% Won $ when seeing flop on Party beginner\'s tables.

I have a buddy who is averaging 25% won $ when seeing the flop after 10k hands. He plays on the $0.50/$1 beginner's tables on Party.

At first I thought that was a tad low, but he's showing an earn rate of 4.64BB/100 hands. After a while, I figured it must be due to the highly multiway pots. Of course you aren't going to win as much, but the pots you do win are much larger.

Could this be true?

Party only allows you to play the beginner tables for 45 days. He has 10k hands already? Is THAT possible? If so, I guess the figures could be correct.

Yep he has that many hands. I think he's been on there for 45 days already, or at least pretty close.

I guess that means he's getting in over 200 hands a day. 2-3 hours worth I'd estimate.

Exactly the reason. People go too far with their hands. You get sucked out on more but win more when you don't.

he could be folding too much postflop as well

the stat by itself is pretty much worthless

Sure. More players hanging in longer = less chance of winning. It also = large average pots. I could see netting a reasonable amount of profit. Stats need to be interpreted in context.

It could also mean your friend is running hot. Impossible to say, really. A good run can have a huge impact on a person's short term results.

The beginners tables are great, though. I've watched them quite a bit lately as I've been helping a friend learn the game.

My party beginner's table stats at .50/1.00:

3469 hands
Won$WSF 27.29%
BB/100 hands 8.96

The won$wsf is as low as it is because the average VPIP of the players at the tables I was at would be 45%-50%.
