I'm in the same situation as you are. Got a 1y.o. daughter, and I only play when she's asleep and my wife's otherwise occupied. If you are interested, I highly recommend learning NL ring games. The varience is much lower than limit, and the profit is much much higher. A good low limit player can expect to make up to 20 big blinds/100 hands. If you wanted to be overrolled for your limit, you could start at .25-.5 (normal roll for NL is 10-20 buyins), and once you got good, you could expect to make around $15-20/100 hands at that level.
