I would rather give to research science than somewhere that will feed or cloth a few hundred thousand people and then close shop once the funding stopped. However, scientific research is amazingly expensive. To really make progress, it needs to be funded by the state-- like in universities or state run labs. It's been that way for a long time. Private companies do R&D to make profit not help people.

Science has no chance of being seriously funded by the state as long as the people who control the political process believe the world is only a few thousand years old. Sorry, science just doesn't have a shot.

The clear play here is to buy me a Sonicare tooth brush.

No idea what they each started with, but pokemon's down to 4K or so.

edit - make that $0. Cant finishes with $72K at the table, so he's doing ok for himself.

I had this table open for a bit. Dude was a [censored] shark at HU limit. I'm very surprised at how awfully he was playing at NL.

Interesting. Could you draw this conclusion so quickly b/c of past history with superpokemon? Or was it just more an absence of bad play? I mean, I can identify players who look like no fun to play against...but I wouldn't really be sure they weren't just catching cards.

Thx for any thoughts you have time for.

I am not a limit player, I missed last nights carnage so cannot comment on his play then but...

Tonight I watched this limit game, he played very well and I saw him make many good value bets with bottom pair etc as well as tough calls with high cards only. I started watching several hours before it had ended and tbh I am surprised he took as long as he did to get his money.

Did anyone save the HH of them playing HU? I'd like to take a look at it.
