Default top pair against the BB

Party $50 NL, this is my first orbit. I open raise KT of spades on the button for $2. The BB calls. Flop is Kd 6s 3d. He bets $5 (just over pot), I call (?). Turn is another low rag, he bets $10. What should I do?

Default Re: top pair against the BB

Given that you open-raised from the button, he could easily just put you on a steal and is trying to get you out. I probably raise the flop to about $12 and go from there.

Given the way you played it, I might steal a trick from limit games, minraise the turn and go for a free showdown.
