glad the trip went well for you guys.
I did things in the 'other' order. I played in Vegas for the first time ever a few months ago after having played quite a few times in Tunica. And it was like "Huh??? Why aren't these guys practically throwing comps at me?? Isn't that what they're supposed to do??" Vegas rooms were nice of course...and the floor was generally polite and decent. But I ran into enough 'attitude' or just typical Vegas stuff to think "wow....Tunica really IS pretty good." |

Tunica has the friendliest staffs around. They put a premium on service rather than professionalism. It is one of the best palces to play in the country if you are looking for a good value. Make sure you protect yourself at all times, floor rulings may or may not be correct. As a general rule in TUnica COunty the further you get from the the Horseshoe the more likley the floor is to get it wrong.

I had the same experience a few weeks ago when I went to AC for the first time. I was surprised to find out I had to pay to park, and I couldn't just go eat for free whenever I felt like it. I estimate I was spending an extra $50/day there which would have been comped in Tunica, and that doesn't include the room which happened to be free for me that weekend. Games at the Horseshoe are also much, much softer. Although the size of the rooms in AC are amazing (and the fact that they can actually fill all those tables with players), I prefer playing in Tunica.
