Default OAK v SD- thoughts?

I have a hard time capping raiders games, as they are my team, but I'm having a harder time figuring out why the chargers are only 2 point favorites. The Raiders have not done a single impressive thing all year, and the chargers remain a very potent, talented team.

what am I missing about SD-2 ? I'm thinking of putting a unit on the chargers, and betting against my guys. If I lose the bet, the raiders potentially save the season...it's kind of a win-win situation.

(unless the chargers win by 1, in which case I quit life)

Rival game, Raiders coming off a bye, Raiders at home, Chargers short week, what should the line be?

True, but the Black Hole is a vastly overrated home field, and this rivalry in particular has always been a visitor's series.
I like the Chargers as well.

I'm sensing some frustration coming from you...
I'm aware of all those points, but as I said, I have a hard time objectively looking at the raiders. And honestly, I expected -3 or even -3.5

Nope no frustration just pointing out things which surely effect the line.

And even if the Blackhole is vastly overrated, whatever that means, its still a home game for a team coming off a bye vs a team on short rest.

I just meant people seem to bring it up as one of the toughest stadiums to play when it's clearly not.
In the 15 years I've followed football closely, they have lost a ridiculously high number of these home games vs. division rivals - many in which they were favored, and many of which were against KC & SD teams that were no better than them.

The numbers agree with you, especially lately.

Since 2003: 0-7 ATS vs. KC, DEN, and SD at OAK.
Since 2000: 5-11 ATS vs. KC, DEN, and SD at OAK.

Easy alternative to "suicide" lol -- San Diego with the money line. For the record, I like the Raiders strongly.

LaDainian Tomlinson in his career at OAK has been sick:

Rush Yards/TDS
2001 68 1
2002 153 2
2003 187 1
2004 164 1

plus 16 catches for 75 yards
