Default Re: ATs hand - when should i bet...when should i check?

Checking this Turn lost you momentum in the hand. Betting the Turn is right here for several reasons.

1. You are prepared to call a bet so you may as well bet yourself.
2. You have absolutely no evidence in this hand that the button is going to raise behind you, and even if he did he might clean up some of your Ace outs.
3. You have fold equity by betting.
4. By checking and calling you have just told everybody that you ain't got $hit.
5. You keep your momentum going in the hand from the preflop raise and you have the outs to do it.
6. You've got a gutshot to a Royal. Me bet.
