Re: My Head is Still Spinning
sb's turn checkraise is ridiculous. i think you played your hand well though esp. if you thought sb didn't ahve an ace.

Re: My Head is Still Spinning
Your opponent played his hand absolutely horribly. He literally misplayed every street except the river. Check-raising the A with KK? Brutal man. Brutal. The only thing you did wrong was make a move like this against a player like the bobo-head SB.

[ QUOTE ] I love how you played the hand. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] His c/r induces all 2 outers and dead hands to fold (which a lot of players would do with your hand) and will never get an Ace to fold. IMO is turn c/r is terrible. Thats a move to make with 77 or something, not KK. [/ QUOTE ] Isn't Lestat making the same mistake by 3-betting the turn? The only extra benefit Lestat gets by 3-betting the turn is he may get KK or QQ to fold, which we can't expect villain to have, because as we pointed out, it would be retarded to play KK like this. [/ QUOTE ] I think this is spot on. The only way anyone played well here is if villain had the incredible insight to not only put lestat on a worse pocket pair more often than an ace but know he would 3bet it if he checkraised. IMO both were just donking it up here, though. |

Re: My Head is Still Spinning
Right. Although, like the QQ hand yesterday, I'm starting to like the turn bet in these situations less and less. A hand weaker than JJ will almost always fold to the bet and any A is likely to raise, which will end up costing you an extra BB.
