Default playing at a table with loose aggressive calling stations?

Lastnight I sat in a session with a table consiting of 1 or 2 good players(tight aggressive but able to switch gears when needed), with the others made up of maniac raisers, super calling stations that rivered boat after boat (2 aces full of Jacks in a hour), and loose passive players.
Group 1 and 2 hands cracked over and over. Preflop raises where hopeless. My blind hands where the only thing catching flops? No flop saw less than 5 callers.
I started ultra tight and adjusted to suited connectors 7,8 and above unless on the button or one gapers starting at 9,J. Saw the flop with all AXs. Gave up all preflop raises.
This seemed to help. How was my adjustment?

As always all advice and critisim is appreciated. ORBIE

I think you made the wrong adjustments here. If most of the hands are being raised preflop, you have to cut the suited connectors and Axs out of your diet. Do a lot of isolation raising and tighten up a bit. Calling before the flop usually won't be a good idea with any maniacs around.
