I don't really need the money at all, I could cash out 400 and I'd be fine for the next month.

But I think moving up to the 50s after only 13k hands (at like 17ptbb/100) at the 25s was a bad idea. I'd been running hot for a lot of those hands (first 6k I had 25ptbb/100, the next 7 it was at like 7ptbb/100). I hit bad luck at the 50s and it really hurt my confidence... and I was out of my depth in a few situations.

I think I need at least another 15k hands at the 25s...

If I cash out 2k, I *have* to play that many hands so I get sufficiently bankrolled to play the 50s.

I think this advice is specific to your personality type.

I started at 1c/2c, and when I lost a buyin it hurt to the bones... that was my poker money.

-Buy in for $100 and build up to $300 in the stars .05/.1

-Move all $300 to AbsolutePoker, clear the $150 bonus over 1500+ hands of NL$25. play here until you have $500. Starting with 12 buy-ins is risky, but I like it better than building to $500 in the stars game.

-Start hitting the NL$25 on the party skins. Try not to play any hands you're not getting bonus money for.

The penny poker at stars will obviously be the most tedious, but it will be a good test of your patience.

also, about taking shots, its all about table selection

i had 8k on prima as of two days ago

then i saw a really juicy 5/10 6-max game (all were crazy short stacks at about 400-600, not even any 1k stacks), and bought in ASAP. i doubled up one guy to 800 on a bad beat, but took it all back later when he pushed that 800 with T8 on a 855 board against my JJ

now my balance on prima is about 10k

Man... what did you expect people to say when you shot down some of the best advice you had a chance to hear in the very first reply?

You should have some Forbearance and learn to suffer some hardships. It would be good for your character.
