I didn\'t know what to do, so I raised all in
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed) converter
BB ($336.95) UTG ($322.85) MP ($271.40) Button ($398) Hero ($1399.65) UTG's been tricky loose and has kept restealing on my continuation bets. Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls $4, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $16</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls $12. Flop: ($36) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $24</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $64</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1383.65</font> ?? I really hate my line here, cause I know UTG will pay only if I have the worst hand. |

Re: I didn\'t know what to do, so I raised all in
when i first read this i didnt realize villain only had 320 and thought it was ridiculously terrible.
but now that i see proper relative stack sizes it is merely bad. you said it yourself: you make it impossible for villain to make a mistake here. just check-raise him huge on a good turn. or lead into him. clearly anything is better than this. |

Re: I didn\'t know what to do, so I raised all in
There are so many scare cards that could come on the turn, at least I'm not letting him draw out on me.
Maybe a smaller reraise and a fold to a 4 bet ? What if his stack was bigger ? |

[ QUOTE ]
I didn't know what to do, so I raised all in [/ QUOTE ] always the best policy... Actually that rule should be stickied: "When in doubt, raise all in." |
