does anyone play stars? im considering moving there for the great MTTs, and im just wondering how well their ring games run

[/ QUOTE ]

Stars is a complete rock garden. No money to be made there. Any 2+2er would be a complete fool to play there. I repeat, 2+2ers must stay away from Stars!

I've heard bad things about the 25NL and 50NL games. The 100NL are fishy as hell though. Especially 6 max.

[/ QUOTE ]

what about higher?

[/ QUOTE ]

Never played higher than that on stars, because I only have like 1k there.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've played as high as 2/4 on stars and always found the games to be good; but not in the same way as Party. A lot of the money i made in the games on PS came from having the balls to fire again on the turn and snapping of continuation bets, etc. Just like party games 2/4 and up though they are tons of short-stack shot-takers so you have to adjust to them accordingly.

Isura: I believe "inactive" just means not having played in any real-money games. I also have used Party for data-mining and so far my affiliate seems to think I'm eligible for the come-back-to-party deal. Its a lower % then what i was getting on the skins but I'm more then happy with it.

I haven't played stars in close to a year but, when I did play there, the 1/2 full ring was the most weak-tight game I've ever seen. It was beatable and I suppose it'd be a good place to practice LAG play but it was not an action game.

whats 2/4 like? i always hear stars is weak-tight, but from observing a lot of the higher games like 5/10 and up, it looks like it can get crazy

however i really really like the software and their tournament systems, and hear good things about their support

i havent played 10/20 on stars, all the other games are good. Unfortunately they dont have specific shorthanded 3/6 or 5/10 tables and as a result I play the 2/4 6max alot. Some of the 5/10 guys are pretty good.

Cant tell you about full ring because I haven't played full ring in a while.

When I heard about the split earlier, I logged in to see just how badly it had affected the skin network. At that time there were only 9 $1/2 6-max tables going. 3 of them had 5 or less players.

You were sat at 3 of the tables. There were 3 other guys whom I know (from PT data) to be fairly solid TAG playing 3-4 tables each. I have 30+ big donators buddy listed, none of them were logged in (which is pretty unusual).

I still expect to be beating these games for good money, but my first impression wasn't much fun.

You should've sat with me; 2+2ers are good at sucking out on my made hands.
