Leisure reading during Party downtime: no content
Weird raises in the 30/60 today -- I'm wondering how many of these raises actually occur on the weekend...since most of the time these crap hands aren't shown down because they miss. But anyway just a bad beat whine.
10 handed. utg raises 2 callers and I 3 bet in the SB with QQ. BB 4 bets all call. In the end I cr the river on a 2 2 5 8 8 board and call preflop raiser's 3 bet. He tables 85o. 10 handed. I open in MP with AK, SB 3 bets I call. I raise the river on a 33K56 board. SB 3bets and I call. He tables 74. 5 handed I raise UTG with AQ. MP calls. We cap flop and turn. I lead bet river and he raises. I call. Board is A 4 Q 4 2 in that order. He tables 74.

Believe me I know exactly how you feel.
If this happened to me 3 years ago - I would be chain smoking two ciggs out my bedroom window, with my heart pumping a mile a minute, and hyperventaliting, cursing and it would put me on tilt and I would scream at the computer and be targeting the guy for the whole rest of the night. If he's in I'm in. If he raises, I raise. 2 years ago - I would scream at the computer cursing saying the F-word about 5 times in a row, and then wish cancer on him and his family. 1 year ago - I would yell "UNFI@(_NG BELIEAVABLE" then I would telephone all my friends telling them, "you won't believe this hand........ listen to this....." At the same time walking around the house ...... Today - I would stare at the computer, feel a slight itching knot pain in my stomach, make a little note in his note box and play the next hand. I'm so used to getting suckered I don't even get upset anymore, I just stare with a straight face.

If it wasn't for loose calls, there wouldn't be nearly the profit in today's game. Although noones like a bad-beat, I don't want my opponents to play BETTER cards.
