Played chess tonight for the first time in years

i used to be really in to chess. my rating got to 1900. but then i put 50 bucks in to Party poker and havent played chess since. no money in chess sadly

I'm a "former" chess feind too. Thanks to poker. Someone without 4 kids should put together a tourney on FICS. I'd play, although not nearly as well as I would have this time last year!

to make you feel a little better pax, that 1000 was probably a USCF rating. Online ratings are a whole different beast, and though they're not really comparable, I think it goes something like USCF rating > highschool rating > online rating.
