Re: My first posted hand - Ace crummy kicker raised on the turn
[ QUOTE ]
I guess the big question is "do you need to take advantage of every small edge and thereby incur some added risk when you are first building a bank roll?" [/ QUOTE ] I'm still thinking about what I do in the hand, but totally separate from this specific hand, basing your decisions directly on the size of your bankroll is not good. Obviously all of our decisions in a hand affect the size of our bankroll, but the size of our bankroll should not affect our decisions in a hand. Unless you are playing at a Stars size micro-limit already you may want to move down to build up your bankroll. Good luck! |

If you are behind, there isn't much that will improve you. So if you call the turn, you call the river. Make notes at the end of the hand and develop reads.

Re: My first posted hand - Ace crummy kicker raised on the turn
Call down. There is a J and Q on the board. He may just have you slightly outkicked or have a weak two pair, and in those cases, you have decent outs to split. This is combined with the reason you should probably call him down if you have no good reads on him.
