Hand 1 is probably a fold, although in all honesty, I'd probably play. In a cash game, I'm definitely calling. Hand 2 is an easy fold. Hand 3 is an easy raise.

BTW, you shouldn't be preoccupied with backing into the money. The real money is in winning these damned things, so you want to give yourself the best chance to do so.
