I have to call right simply due to straights raising? Pot size? etc? What is the Queen was a diamond instead(and utg raises), would you call down or ditch it there and then? |

if you're not going to 3-bet the flop then you should check call the turn.

I check/call the turn and the river. Betting the turn doesn't really protect our hand from anything. Flush draws aren't going anywhere and gutshots can call profitably. You might fold an overcard or two but they may have raised pf already.
I would definitely ditch to a UTG turn raise if it's the Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I certainly bet that river if it's not a diamond, but I'm a pussy and with this many guys in a diamond scares me. |

3bet because we asume im ahead with 89o yeh? I dont have equity really(6 - 8 outs tops)?
Just confirming. Check call turn was consideration but i thought i may be ahead and i have lots of outs so betting seemed best(No free cards for flushes?) or would you not mind giving free card away? |

I'd call on the river. You have to call the river getting 20:1 with a straight. There's the slight possibility that MP1 also has an 8, although I'm expecting the flush.

I'd count the 2 remaining 9's and the 3 non-diamond 5's as outs, so 5. We don't have an edge to push and virtually everyone can profitably call your turn bet. I'd check/call and hope everyone misses. And bet a brick on the river.

Fold pre-flop. (I'm kidding, I know you got it free in the BB.)
Flop: You have top-pair and an OESD (ten outs if you're not concerned with diamonds, eight outs if you think any diamond is fatal). I'd 3-bet that easily with four other players remaining in the pot. Turn: Since you called the raise on the flop and didn't 3-bet, you should check-call here. If the flop were capped, then I'd also check-call the turn and hope for one of my ten outs on the river. River: The pot is huge but it's likely someone has a flush. Can you wiggle some room for a 5% chance your straight is still good? I think it's worth a call here. |

Why are the non-diamond 10's not included?
