Default Middle pairs are fun in loose games.

No real read on opponents. Game is typically loose passive

PokerRoom No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) converter

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

CO ($25.65)
Button ($23.60)
<font color="#C00000">SB ($6.25)</font>
BB ($40.70)
<font color="#C00000">Hero ($32.95)</font>
UTG+1 ($11.85)
MP1 ($8.90)
MP2 ($6.05)

Preflop: Hero dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] .
Hero calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.25) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $1</font>, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $3</font>, UTG+1 folds, CO folds, Button calls $3, SB calls $2.

Turn: ($10.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $3 (All-In)</font>, Hero ?

PF: I dont mind just calling UTG with the 99.
Flop: good
Turn: I think i'm raising to $8 to try and push button out one last time. Button has a flush draw no?

you gotta raise more than just to $8 if you're going to try to get button out

raise to at least 10 looks like he's on a draw

If you're beat by the all-in, the only way you're going to make any money is to keep the button in. Of course, this gives the button the chance to draw out on you and beat you both, if he's not ahead already. How much can you raise to hopefully keep the button in if you're ahead, but make it a mistake for him to call?

Or is this overthinking the situation?

Can be anything given his stack. You're getting 4:1 immediate in the main pot. With an overpair on the flop I'm not folding to a 1/3 pot sized bet in a protected pot.

Yeah, maybe $10 is better.

i dont think the 99's are very strong here. so your not going to make any/very much money off the button with hands that are inferior to yours in this situation with a protected pot..
so I isolating the all-in guy is probably the best plan of action.
when your in a pot with a weak'ish hand.. the goal is to win the pot not build it..

Okay, I, of course do the exact wrong thing and call not wanting to push the button out.

Turn: ($10.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $3 (All-In)</font>, Hero calls $3 , <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $6</font>, Hero?

Now what?
