villain cr turn then checks river, what do you do ?
I've been playing against sb for about an hour, he seems to be getting laggy.
PokerStars 10/20 Hold'em (3 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, SB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls. Flop: (6 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. Turn: (4 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls. River: (8 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero ? |

Re: villain cr turn then checks river, what do you do ?
Bet/fold the river. How often he was bluffing the turn and wont call a river bet here is irrelevent, because in these scenarios it does not matter what you do. He will have an ace he calls with or a low pair more often then he checkraises here. I think he check/calls with almost nothing you lose to.
Edit: I want a read better then "seems to be getting laggy". To me this means he is mostly tag, but I am not sure at all. |

Re: villain cr turn then checks river, what do you do ?
The prospect of getting checkraised on the river and having to call him down because he's a lag kinda sucks. Also, if he's checkraising you on the turn on a bluff, he's most likely not calling a river bet.

You're right, he check calls with nothing I lose to.
Hard to make those thin value bets when five tabling, guess I was already in the check/call any box before thinking. I checked and he showed ace deuce of hearts. |
