Default Set on a 4-straight river against an unknown.

TAG opens in MP. I 3-bet T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] from the SB, and the BB, who is pretty much unknown (about 30/10 preflop over 30 hands), calls. We've been playing together for 20 minutes and I can't recall seeing a hand of his shown down. He certainly has done nothing to stand out so far. TAG in MP calls.

Flop is T82r. I bet, BB raises, TAG folds, I 3-bet, BB calls.

Turn is a 9. I bet, BB raises, I 3-bet, he calls.

River is a 7.

Bet-call or check-call?

Rob

After 3-betting the turn I think we need to b/c, since we won't be getting enough value from villian bluffing against a c/c.

I think he pays off his underset or Queens more than twice as much as he raises his Jacks. So bet/call. Maybe he's one of these guys who never caps from BB, so you may be ahead of even more calling hands.

This looks a lot like a hand you beat. I bet-call here.

I'm betting here as well.

I had a semi-similar hand that I posted about a week ago (with almost the exact same title).
My opponent wasn't as aggressive on the previous streets against my set....but the consensus there was to bet-call as well.

It's kind of funny how that crappy river looks SOOOOO scary when YOU are the one playing the hand that you debate going into passive mode....but to a bunch of people on 2+2 who were NOT in the hand the answer to "fire-away" is much easier to see (because they're just not in that scardey-cat 'what if I lose?' mode)
