1) I have a copy of ToP that I still haven't finished. Will work on finishing that.

2) I'll be leaving 1/2 6-max shortly. I've moved up before, but instead bought myself a new laptop with a portion of my BR, and am ready (bankrolled) to move up.
(any suggestions on a good place to play 2/4 6-max? )

3) I need to start utilizing PT for post session analysis. I'm sure that there is a bunch of leaks that I have which would be easily plugged if I just spent the time to WORK on my game.

4) Determine and implement organizational strategies to hopefully make my life a little less eratic feeling. Finish reading Getting Things Done and actually work on using somet of the strategies.

I'd probably try Stars first for 2/4 6 max. Absolute is another option, but I'm not sure. I played about 10k hands at Absolute, and I found the games to be somewhat tough. Coupled with some nasty variance, it left a bad taste in my mouth. However, you can get a sweet ra****ck deal there, and the (virtually unlimited, moderately quickly clearing) bonus doesn't count against your MGR for it. I made much more in free money there than I did in actual poker winnings. You could also consider getting a few more BB at 1/2 and going to 3/6 6 max at Party, which I've found to be softer than Absolute or Stars 2/4.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've already played about 1000 hands at PS 2/4 clearing their recent bonus (since playing at 1/2 is too slow for bonus clearing) and felt like I was playing well. But the stickler is that I don't get a [unmentionable] to fall back on there.

I already have an account at absolute, so I can't get rakeback there. I've considered playing there for the bonii as a cushion for my 2/4 lessons, though.

I almost have 300bb bankroll for 3/6 and I'm mentally "willing" to take the shot and move down if I hit a 100BB downswing...so maybe I should do that? I've been a 3BB/100 winner at 1/2 for about 25K hands, so I think I'm at least a decent player....and [unmentionable] can make up for my shortcomings.

Learn how to play poker. I don't think I can accurately describe how badly I am playing lately.

September Goals:
1. Learn how to play shorthanded.
2. Beat a 6 max game (?1/2) over at least 5k hands (hopefully 10k)

Result:
Played 3k hands of horrible breakeven 1/2 full (well, +5BB excluding bonus money and RB) to clear some bonuses. Then I played 3k hands of 1/2 6max at +2BB/100.

October Goals:
1. Play 5k hands at 1/2 6max.
2. Review 100 hands at least 2 times a week.
3. Post one hand from each review session.
4. Stop busting my casino bonuses.
5. Study for a board exam on October 23rd.
6. Mentally get ready for 2/4.

learn to play poker again.

poker:

-stop bluffing into calling stations
-stop 4-tabling
-stop playing no limit and limit at the same time

non-poker:

-stop playing so much damn poker

running badly. on sept 26th i cashed out a bunch of money and moved down to 1/2 6max from 3/6 6max so i could play more tables and more relaxed. instead i'm running at -4/bb over about 3k hands. not too long a strech but it sucks none the less.
